Trudeau denies groping allegations

For the first time, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has commented directly on an allegation from nearly 20 years ago that he groped a female reporter at a music festival in Creston, British Columbia.

Trudeau says he remembered being at the festival, but doesn’t recall any “negative interactions”.

A newspaper editorial, in the Creston Valley Advance, days after the incident in 2000 alleged that Trudeau had apologized to the reporter.
