It might not look like the Christmas season outside weather-wise, but downtown Hamilton is feeling very festive as the Tree of Hope lighting took place in Gore Park Friday night.

It took place at 6pm, officially kicking off the Christmas season. A huge crowd gathered to watch the tree light up. It will stay lit up past Christmas.
