The QEW in Mississauga has reopened after an early morning crash shut the roadway down for several hours.

The closure first began around 8 a.m. Tuesday after a dump truck collided with an overhead pedestrian bridge near North Service Road and Cawthra Road.

No one was injured.

By noon, police had announced that the road had reopened — two hours earlier than a previous estimate of 2 p.m.

For several hours, cars were circumnavigating the crash. Toronto-bound traffic was sent through Cawthra Road and Fort Erie-bound traffic was sent through Dixie Road.
