Toxic workplace for prison guards

A report is calling on Corrections Canada to address the finding of a survey that suggested many employees believe their workplace is toxic.

Almost one-third of prison guards and other employees who participated in the survey said they were harassed at least once in the past year. The report says an unhealthy work environment within Corrections Canada is “an area that needs attention”. A corrections spokeswoman says harassment complaints are not treated lightly by the prison service.
