Four large process towers bound for a Mississippi power plant were loaded up and shipped out of Hamilton this morning.

The towers range between 47 and 76 metres tall, and the heaviest weighs a massive 400-thousand pounds, or 181-thousand kilos. The towers were made by Hooper Engineered Vessels International, and shipped from their location at the Hamilton Port.

Hamilton is the largest Canadian port in the Great Lakes, with more than $2 billion worth of cargo passing through each year.
