Toronto storm clean up

Toronto city hall officials say the clean up of fallen branches and debris following last month’s ice storm could take as long as two months and cost upwards of 75-million dollars.

All tree branches less than 15 centimetres in diameter left in front yards and roadsides will be hauled away by the city. But removal of oversized branches that have fallen on private property will be the responsibility of the property owner. The city is also reminding Torontonians that many trees can be saved with proper care and pruning.
