Seven people, including a baby, were sent to hospital after a scaffolding came tumbling down to the streets of one of Toronto’s busiest neighbourhoods yesterday.
Police went to a construction site in the city’s Forest Hill neighbourhood around 2:30pm, after the accident at a building currently being turned into a new public transit stop. Police, firefighters and EMS teamed up to rescue seven people believed to have been trapped in the rubble. The seven people taken to hospital are expected to recover.
The Ontario Ministry of Labour, Enbridge and Toronto Hydro will all be investigating.
