Toronto police officer stabbed, driver shot

Traffic enforcement in Avenue Road-401 area turns violent.
It all began late Sunday night on Northmount Avenue in the Bathurst – Wilson neighbourhood.
The officer was conducting, what a superior called ”traffic enforcement”.
No word if it was a routine traffic stop.
The unidentified officer, who’s in his 30’s and a father, was stabbed in the neck.
A motorist was reportedly shot several times.
The province’s Special Investigations Unit is overseeing the investigation.
The SIU’s called whenever someone’s hurt, killed or sexually assaulted and police are involved.
