Toronto police are investigating a fatal shooting near the University of Toronto’s Scarborough campus.

Police say they responded to a call yesterday afternoon about a person with serious injuries after they were found by a passerby on a trail.

Officers discovered the victim with a gunshot wound, and they were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the victim appears to be an adult.

There is no information about a suspect at this time, but police say there is no threat to public safety.
