Toronto man killed in single-vehicle crash in Halton Hills: police

One man is dead and a woman has been injured in a crash in Halton Hills.

Emergency crews were called to a single-vehicle crash on 5 Sideroad, west of Trafalgar Rd., around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Two people were found at the scene.

A 42-year-old man from Toronto who was the passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead. The driver, an 18-year-old woman from Brampton, was taken to hospital.

Police say the vehicle was travelling westbound on the road when it hit a tree and rolled over into the ditch.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
