Toronto man arrested in relation to St. Catharines drug investigation

Niagara police a Toronto man has been arrested in relation to an investigation into the sale of illegal fentanyl and cocaine.
Police say the investigation has been ongoing since the summer of 2021.
A 32-year-old Toronto man was arrested for drug related charges on Dec. 21.
Police say they subsequently sought search warrants for a room at a hotel located in the area of Dunlop Drive and Carlton Street in St. Catharines and for a residential apartment located on Queenston Street near Geneva Street.
Detectives say they have seized:
- 32.8 grams of fentanyl
- 8.8 grams of crack cocaine
Police say the estimated street value of the seized drugs is $16,000.
Detectives say they also seized $1,710 CDN as suspected proceeds of crime.
Anthony Clarke has been charged with possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of $5,000 obtained by crime and failing to comply with release order.
