Toddler murder trial

A witness who tried to save the life of a 2 year old boy took the stand today in the second degree murder trial of 28 year old Greg Dalley. LaSaundra Grey lived in the same building as the mother of Noah Keizer and it was in her apartment that police found the body of the little boy, on July 13th, 2012.
Greg Dalley was watching Noah for his mother Nicole Agnew who was late returning from work at the Under Mount tavern, and apparently, he was frustrated. He texted LaSaundra Grey and Ashland Kucuba who lived downstairs from Nicole and Noah, and were also friends of Dalley. The trio had plans to go to Hess Village but were held up by Agnew’s late return. But tragedy was already in the works. Grey had been up to Noah’s apartment earlier in the evening, and heard the toddler rustling in bed. She took a peek, ” I realized when he turned over there was something wrong.” Grey said. “I realized that he was bloody, and that his face was really swollen”
Grey said she helped clean Noah up; removing clotted blood from his mouth, and putting ice on his swollen forehead. Dalley had no explanation for the injuries other than suggesting that Noah sometimes banged his head on the wall when he was upset. Grey put Noah back to bed, and returned to her own apartment for a shower. During that time Dalley was texting with her roommate Kucuba, complaining about Noah’s mother: “I swear if she keeps neglecting him I’m gonna call CAB on her.” Misspelling the acronym for Children’s Aid Society. He also referred to his clothing after the effort to clean up Noah: “It looks like I got ketchup all over my shirt! ”
But not long afterwards Dalley appeared at Grey’s door with Noah’s unconscious body in his arms, he was frantic: “tell me if Noah’s breathing! I don’t know if he’s breathing! ” he asked Grey. Within minutes she was on the phone to 9-1-1
As we know now those efforts to save Noah’s life failed and to this point there has been no explanation as to how Noah was hurt, other than the suggestion that he may have banged his own head on something. Nor has there been an explanation as to why Grey and Dalley would simply clean little Noah’s face, and then put the 2 year old back to bed when they first discovered that he was bleeding.
