Today is one of the busiest travel days of the year

Thousands of people hit the road, and soared into the sky, hoping to soak up a little bit of fun and/or sun over the March break. It’s one of the busiest travel days of the year, but nobody is complaining. Some were getting in the festive mood even before they left the snow behind, they came to the airport all decked out in sandals, shorts and hats. 115,000 passengers are expected to go through the airport today. And Pearson is getting beach goers to the sand a little bit sooner this year with a new beach themed relaxation area with kids activities and “tastes of the tropics”

The highways were also busy with travelers. At the border, lines were long with people driving south for March break.

As the final bell rang on the last day of school before the break, students streamed out of their classrooms, eager to start a week with no homework!
