Tim Hortons soup base recalled for containing bugs

A Tim Hortons brand chicken noodle soup base has been recalled due to the presence of insects in the product.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has recalled the 3.56 kg size of chicken noodle soup base from Tim Hortons after the product was found to contain insects.

The target audience of this recall is mainly hotels, restaurants, and larger institutions who may have purchased the soup base.

The recalled product was sold up to and including Oct. 20 in Ontario and Alberta and has the following best before dates: MR1323, AL1723, AL1823, AL2123, AL2223, AL2323, AL2423, AL2523, AL2923, AL3023.

The food inspection agency recommends that customers do not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product.
