The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have revealed a new addition to the team’s helmets in honour of Angelo Mosca.

Mosca passed away on Nov. 6 at the age of 84.

The five-time Grey Cup champion played in 201 career regular season Canadian Football League (CFL) games with the Tiger-Cats.

He shares the CFL record of nine Grey Cup appearances with five other players.

The Ticats announced starting Friday and for the remainder of the season, players will be wearing a ’68’ decal on their helmets in honour of Mosca.

In 2015, the Tiger-Cats retired Mosca’s jersey number and he joined Bernie Faloney as the only players in the 152-year history of the organization to have their numbers retired.
