Ticats looking for 2013 home

Updated: Much to the chagrin of their loyal fans, the Tiger-Cats will not be playing any games at all in Hamilton next year.

Negotiations to use Ron Joyce Stadium while Ivor Wynne is rebuilt had been ongoing for 6 months, but McMaster University now says there were too many concerns about noise and traffic congestion during the summer school term.

The Ticats say they’re shocked at the sudden break-off in talks, which had gotten down to finer details. They’ve rented the stadium for training camp for the last 8 years.

The University of Western Ontario in London has been the most talked-about venue for re-location, but team owner Bob Young says there are at least two other options the Ticats are considering.
