Ticats fans gear up for the return of the iconic Labour Day Classic
The Labour Day Classic is making its big return at Tim Hortons Field as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats take on the Toronto Argonauts.
With the game set to kick off at 3:30 Monday afternoon, festivities have been lined up for the entire day to amp up the excitement.
Fans began gathering as early as 7 a.m. to get the celebrations started in surrounding parking lots.
Attendees can also catch a performance from cover band Dwayne Gretzsky at 2 p.m and again at halftime.

Monday’s game marks the 52nd showdown between the two rivals as the Ticats are looking to renew their winning streak against the Toronto team that ended after seven years last season.
The Hamilton team is currently fresh of a win at their latest game and hope to keep a winning streak alive with the Classic game.
With a heat warning currently in effect in Hamilton, fans are reminded to stay hydrated, stay in a cool place and monitor for symptoms of heat illness such as swelling, rash, cramps and fainting.
As of Sunday, the game is officially sold out.
