Ticats come to terms with city

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have come to an agreement with the city in their dispute over deficiencies and delays at Tim Hortons Field.
Both sides issued a joint statement last evening after a meeting that confirmed the Cats will pay the $700,000 in rent owed this year, and $1.4-million in future years as part of a 20-year agreement. The lower amount for the first year was always planned because of the Pan Am Games.
But the official stadium license agreement won’t take effect until remaining deficiencies are fixed.
The Ticats will work with the city to claim additional costs from the builders for fixing some 40 problems.
