Three vehicle crash on Hamilton mountain

A three vehicle crash on the Hamilton mountain sent one woman to hospital earlier today.

Hamilton police say the crash happened around noon at the intersection of Fennell and Upper Wellington.

A blue mini van had extensive damage to one side and the front of a silver SUV was totalled. The man who was driving the SUV with his toddler son in the back, says the woman driving the blue van ran a red light and crashed into his vehicle.

The driver of the van was taken to  hospital with minor injuries.  Everyone else was fine.

Police continue to investigate.
