Three North York residents sentenced in $1.3M GTA liquor bust

Three North York residents have been sentenced in connection with a $1.3-million organized liquor trafficking operation which distributed stolen liquor throughout the GTA.

On July 8, 52-year-old man Parminder Sidhu, 56-year-old woman Rajinder Sidhu and 25-year-old man Navdeep Sidhu appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Toronto where sentences were handed down by Justice Campitelli.

Sentences ranged from probation to nearly two years in jail, including forfeiting the seized alcohol, two vehicles and over $120,000 in cash.

Halton police conducted the four-month investigation in partnership with the LCBO and Toronto police. The investigation concluded in November of last year.

Over the span of this investigation, police and LCBO investigators identified several individuals involved in trafficking the stolen liquor and linked them to ten separate organized theft groups.

This investigation dismantled a large-scale liquor trafficking operation responsible for distributing over $1.3 million in stolen alcohol across the GTA.

On Nov. 20, 2025, Halton and Toronto police executed search warrants at a home in North York.

Detectives recovered about $120,000 in currency, a 2018 Toyota Corolla, a 2021 Toyota RAV4, a 2005 Chevrolet Corvette and 126 bottles of whiskey.

The three North York residents were all charged prior to their sentencing with possession of property and proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000, trafficking in property obtained by crime over $5,000 and participating in a criminal organization.
