Three men charged in retail thefts targeting stores in Halton region

Three men are facing charges in a Halton police investigation into retail thefts targeting stores in Milton, Oakville and Burlington.

Police say merchandise, including high-end fragrances, formula and energy drinks, were stolen. In some cases when confronted by employees, the men used threats or violence to escape.

Officers executed two search warrants in Toronto on Jan. 24. One was at a home and the other was at a retail store.

William Berry, 40, of Carrying Place has been arrested and charged with:

• Three counts of robbery
• Theft Under $5,000

Marc Sestito, 32, of North York has been arrested and charged with:

• Two counts of robbery
• Theft Under $5,000

Du Xu, 39, of Toronto has been arrested and charged with:

• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 for the Purpose of Trafficking

All three have been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
