Three hospitalized following serious crash in Milton

A three-vehicle crash in Milton on Tuesday evening sent three drivers to hospital, say police.
Officers say the collision took place around 5:30 p.m. on Regional Road 25 and Henderson Road after a tractor trailer and an SUV collided.
According to police, the tractor trailer was travelling southbound when it collided with a black SUV that was travelling northbound.
Following the initial impact, the tractor trailer veered toward the ditch, where it struck a blue pickup truck. The pickup then hit a hydro pole, causing it to break and become lodged in the front windshield of the tractor trailer.
Police say the 22-year-old driver of the SUV was left with critical injuries, and was taken to a nearby trauma centre.
The drivers of the tractor trailer and pickup truck were also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, Regional Road 25 was closed for an extended period so officers could investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact police at 905-825-4747 ext. 5065, or email CRU@haltonpolice.ca.
