Third time lucky for Hamiton residents

This is the third time this year that someone from Hamilton has won a big lotto jackpot.

Back in March, Gayle Zolaturiuk, also in her fifties, claimed a $30 million dollar prize from a Lotto 6/49 draw. At the time, she gave some of the credit to an abandoned cat she found outside her 7th floor apartment. She said “black cats are good luck.”

And 35-year old Nick Takticos won $30 million in a Lotto Max draw in August. When he picked up his cheque in September, he told us he found out he won after getting home from a nightshift at the Toyota plant in Cambridge where he was a Lexus inspector. He checked his ticket several times before realizing he could now afford to buy a Lexus. Takticos has since retired.
