The real reason behind Burlington plane landing

It wasn’t a fuel leak that caused a plane to make an emergency landing last month.

The National Transportation Safety Board says mechanical problems were not the cause. The real reason for the emergency landing near a Burlington high school was simple – it ran out of gas.

The pilot had taken three grade nine students from Oakville on a flight as part of a school geography program. All four aboard got out safely.

The plane was from Spectrum Airways at the Burlington Airpark near Milton. They had no comment today.
