A hot start to the long weekend with thunderstorm risk

The May long weekend won’t be a complete wash out but be prepared for strong thunderstorms and a very humid start.
Friday’s daytime high of 28’C will feel like 35’C coming close to record breaking temperatures. The humidity will hang on Saturday with the highest risk of thunderstorms late afternoon to evening.
A cold front will push through taking the edge off the heat Sunday and Victoria Day. The driest day of the weekend will be Victoria Day making great conditions for fireworks.
