Thanksgiving closures and schedule changes

Monday is Thanksgiving day which means government offices, libraries, banks, the LCBO and Beer Stores will all be closed, along with most grocery & retail stores.

There will be no mail delivery on Monday, but electricity will be at the off-peak rate all day. Also, in most areas, garbage and recycling collection will be delayed a day all week.

Malls in tourist-designated areas will be open, including Vaughan Mills, the Eaton Centre, Square One, Bramalea City Centre, and the Canada One Factory Outlet in Niagara Falls.

Most transit services will running on Sunday schedules, but may start with earlier hours. Burlington Transit has a special holiday schedule.
