Halton police say a car flipped on its side last night because the driver was texting. It happened in Burlington just after 11 p.m.
A woman was driving her Honda CRV northbound on Guelph Line near Woodward, when she hit a median. That caused her car to flip.
Luckily no one was hurt in the crash, however the woman is facing charges.
Her CRV was eventually pulled back up onto its wheels and towed from the scene.
If convicted of distracted driving, a fully licensed driver faces a $400 fine, plus a victim surcharge and court fee, for a total of $490, that’s if it’s settled out of court. Three demerit points is also applied to the driver’s record.
