A video surfaced on Sunday calling for attacks on malls in the U.S., Britain and on Canada’s West Edmonton Mall.

The RCMP said it’s investigating the exact contents and authenticity of the video.

The brief reference to the West Edmonton Mall comes near the end of the video from the Somalian Islamist extremist group, Al-Shabab.

Mounties staff sergeant Brent Meyer said “there is no evidence at this time of any specific or imminent threat to Canadians.”

He included they are investigating with local police and national and international security partners.

The 76 minute long documentary-style video also names the Mall of America in suburban Minneapolis, Oxford Street in London and several shopping meccas in Paris.

Al-Shabab claims responsibility for the 2013 attack on the upscale Westgate Mall in Nairobi, Kenya in which 67 people were killed.

In recent months Canada has been mentioned in a number of videos purported to be from terrorist groups that have threatened to attack the West.
