Those planning on traveling to Toronto this weekend should be aware that there will be temporary service changes to the Lakeshore West GO Train line.

The service changes are caused by work being done in that area to expand GO Train service, part of the GO Expansion program.

Trains will run every half hour between Toronto’s Union Station and Oakville GO on Saturday, with hourly service between Oakville and West Harbour GO in Hamilton.

On Sunday, there’s a special schedule because of the Toronto Santa Claus Parade, with trains running every half hour between Union and Oakville, and hourly service between Oakville and Aldershot GO between 11 a.m. and 4:30 pm.

Metrolinx is warning that some trains may leave up to four minutes early, with regular service resuming on Monday.
