Temporary closures headed to 3 Welland Canal bridges this week

Temporary closures of three bridges over the Welland Canal are scheduled this week for bridge and road maintenance to be completed.

The St. Lawerence Seaway Management Corporation says these will be full closures, meaning there will be no vehicle or pedestrian access during these scheduled periods.

The first closure will be at the Lakeshore Road Bridge in St. Catharines on Monday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Glendale Avenue Bridge also in St. Catharines is set to close on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Wrapping the scheduled closures will be the Clarence Street Bridge in Port Colborne on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The seaway says they will work to minimize any inconvenience to the public while the preventive maintenance is performed.
