Teen motorcyclist dead after single-vehicle crash in Hamilton on weekend

Hamilton police say an 18-year-old is dead after a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle in the city’s east end on the weekend.

On Saturday at around 11 a.m., officers responded to the area of Queenston Road above the Red Hill Valley Parkway for reports of a crash.

Investigators say the rider involved in the collision was initially taken to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say Queenston Road between the north and south exits of the Red Hill Valley Parkway was closed for several hours.
