Teen charged after fight at Milton elementary school

Halton Regional Police are asking for witnesses after a fight at a Milton school Wednesday.

Police were called to Tiger Jeet Singh Elementary School around 3:30 p.m.

They say a knife was used during a fight between several young people.

Two 13-year-olds were injured and taken to hospital.

Investigators say the two have minor injuries.

A 13-year-old suspect was arrested Wednesday evening.

Detectives executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home and say a knife was recovered.

He faces several weapons charges and has been released into the custody of his parents.

He is due in court later this month.
