Teen charged after Interpol warns of threat to Haldimand County school

Ontario Provincial Police say they received information from the International Criminal Police Organization about a threat to a school in Haldimand County early Tuesday morning.

The threat was made through a social media platform and has since been removed.

A 15-year-old is facing a charge of uttering threats. The identity of the youth is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The teen has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in court on an undisclosed date.

Police say no further information will be provided to protect the identity of the accused.
