Suspect cut hole in roof of Burlington pharmacy, rappelled into store

Halton police are investigating after someone cut a hole in the roof of a Burlington pharmacy and rappelled into the store.

It happened around 1 a.m. Monday at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Appelby Line near Upper Middle Rd.

Police say they were alerted to the break-in when the alarm went off after the suspect got inside.

Surveillance video captured a masked person walking around the store but police say it appears nothing was stolen.

The Burlington Fire Department used their aerial ladders to access the roof and investigate damage to the building.

There is no suspect description at this time and police are still trying to determine how the suspect exited the store.
