Suspect arrested after Circle K armed robbery in Georgetown: Halton police

Halton police have arrested a man who is allegedly responsible for a robbery of a Georgetown convenience store.
Police say a male suspect entered the Circle K at 10 Mountain Rd. South shortly before 10 a.m. on Sunday.
Officers say the man was armed with a large kitchen knife, he demanded an employee to hand over the cash from the register. He then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No physical injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

Police say the suspect was arrested around 11:30 a.m. when an officer found the suspect in the area of Guelph St. and Sinclair Ave. in Georgetown.
Ryan Lynch, 24, of no fixed address was charged with robbery and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Lynch was held in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
