The final round of the Supercross Tour is in Hamilton this weekend.

It’s a triple crown event with a $100,000 prize.

Dirt bike racers from across North America are vying for the top spot including one local rider in his rookie year.

Marco Cannella is an 18-year-old who has a passion for dirt bike racing.

He may have just got his driver’s license, but he’s been riding dirt bikes since he was four years old.

This is his rookie year as a pro. Currently, he’s ranked third overall.

The sport is dangerous and intense.

He has a lot of support from friends and family who’ve been watching him develop since he was young.

Jetwerx, the company that builds the track, will bring 2500 tons of dirt into the First Ontario Centre to transform the rink into an obstacle course for the big event.

This is the last race of the season.

There will be 90 amateur competitors from age 4 to 40 as well as 30 guys in the pro-class.

The action starts at seven tomorrow night at First Ontario Centre.

Marco will take a break, then head south next year to train for another season.
