A dramatic video has gained traction online showing a worker hanging from a crane in downtown Toronto.

PCL Constructors Canada, the company managing the construction project at Front and Simcoe streets, said the incident happened on Tuesday.

The 39-second video posted on Instagram shows a worker holding onto a rope attached to the crane.

While the video does not show the worker landing on the ground, the company said the worker is safe and has no injuries.

The Ministry of Labour is now investigating the incident.
