This is sexual violence prevention month, and Hamilton’s Woman Abuse Working Group has launched its latest campaign.
The launch was held at Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School to introduce ‘Draw The Line’, a campaign prompting questions about where we draw the line when it comes to sexual violence.
Erin Crickett with Hamilton’s sexual assault centre says it’s about sparking a conversation with bystanders. “What we’re asking is for folks who see harrassing situtations, or see something that could turn into sexual violence, to step up, to say something, to take action.”
The campaign aims to bring to light instances where sexual violence have become so common, they go unnoticed.
