Strides for the General fundraiser

A local teen who suffered a stroke five months ago took some big steps to help his and others’ recoveries Saturday.

Riley Dunda suffered his stroke back in May and has been on the road to recovery ever since.

Dunda took part in this year’s “Strides for the General” walk and run as their patient spokesperson.

He took part in the five kilometre event on Saturday.

Hundreds of people participated in the fundraising event.

The proceeds of Saturday’s fundraiser go to support patient care at Hamilton General Hospital by buying new medical equipment and educational initiatives.
