Southern parts of California have a big cleanup job ahead.

Former category four hurricane Hilary arrived on the west coast late yesterday.

The storm was in a weakened state, but still powerful enough to dump record rainfall over several regions, setting off flash floods and massive mudslides that clogged roadways, trapped vehicles, and left many people in need of rescue.
