Stolen car leads to police chase, vehicle rollover following home invasions

Halton police closed a portion of Appleby Line between Britannia and Derry roads in Burlington Tuesday morning after a police chase of a stolen vehicle led to a rollover following two home invasions.

Authorities received reports of two separate home invasions early Tuesday morning, one in Oakville around 3:10 a.m. and another in Milton at around 4 a.m.

Both involved the same suspect vehicle.

The vehicle fled the area and was located by officers on Appleby Line after colliding with a hydro pole.

Officials say all five occupants of the vehicle were arrested. Two occupants were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

There have been no reports of injuries at either of the home invasions.

The SIU has invoked their mandate and is currently investigating.

The previously closed portion of Appleby Line has been reopened.
