Niagara police say a man involved in a standoff with police on Saturday is in hospital for psychiatric assessment and care.
Police responded to a weapons call in Niagara Falls on Saturday. Police say a man in the house refused to exit and surrender themselves.
The house was contained by officers and after prolonged negotiations, the man surrendered and was arrested at 7:15 p.m.
Investigating officers took possession of firearms and ammunition from the house. There are no criminal charges related to this incident at this time.
