St. Catharines man arrested following drug trafficking investigation

A 36-year-old man from St. Catharines has been arrested following an investigation into opioid trafficking in Niagara Falls.

Police say the investigation began in May, and centered around the distribution of illegal drugs.

Officers executed a search warrant at an apartment in Niagara Falls on Thursday and discovered over $100,000 worth of drugs and Canadian currency.

Following the search, police say they seized 967 grams of cocaine, 4.2 grams of crystal methamphetamine and $3256 cash.

Dylan Manniaco, a 36-year-old St. Catharines resident, has been arrested and charged with the following:

  • Failure to comply with undertaking
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking x 2
  • Possession of proceeds obtained by crime
  • Trafficking in a Schedule 1 controlled substance

Police say Manniaco remains in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing on Friday. However, their investigation remains ongoing.
