Target Canada is no more. The American chain closed its final Canadian locations on Sunday shutting the door on one of the biggest retail disasters ever.

The end of Target Canada was announced in February, and the last stores weren’t supposed to close until the end of May but on April 12th only a few stores were still selling merchandise, even the Target Canada website is now gone.

With Target and Future Shop shutting down almost simultaneously, there are now 3.5 million square feet of available retail space.
