‘Sniffspot’ offers private dog park rentals for pet owners

A unique service similar to Airbnb is connecting pet owners, with a private yard or space for them to take their dogs. Instead of a house rental, Sniffspot allows pet owners to rent yard space for their dogs.

Doug Shirton, the executive director of the Burlington Humane Society says while local dog parks are free they’re not always the best spot to take your pet. “A lot of times with dog parks, not all owners are respectful or attentive.”
Sniffspot is a great alternative for pet owners who live in an apartment and don’t have a backyard. It’s also an option for dogs who are reactive or have behavioural issues.
The Burlington Humane Society has a space available for rent on Sniffspot and they say it has generated up to $2,000 a month for the shelter.
There are several other Sniffspots in the area ranging in price. The Burlington Humane Society’s next available booking is on July 12.
