Nans Cookies, an 100 per cent Indigenous-owned cookie company that proudly operates on the Six Nations of the Grand River, have received a shout-out from rapper Drake Friday morning.
These classic, golden-brown cookies are sold at several shops in Hamilton including Denninger’s, Sweet Paradise Bakery and Buddy Subs.
The brand could reach up to 139 million potential customers after Drake featured a delivery of the treats in his Instagram story under his @champagnepapi handle.
“@mxntour dropped me off a absolute PACK my real hitter,” Drake wrote over an image of the purple cookie label.
Drake posted a second image on his story, displaying a giant cookie box on top of a mini fridge full of bags of the classic cookies. He tagged the cookie company and included several purple heart emojis in the post.
