Members of the Six Nations community are mourning the loss of a young mother of five as police investigate the death as the result of what family and friends are calling a case of domestic violence.

Six Nations Police received a call reporting an injured female on River Rd. East around 10 p.m. on August 4.

Emergency responders attended the area and the female victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The victim has since been identified as Jocelyn Greene, a young mother of five from the Six Nations area.

Following an investigation, Six Nations Police have arrested and charged 28-year-old Dalton Hill-Doxtador. The accused faces five charges, including dangerous and impaired driving causing death, disobeying a court order and assault of a peace officer.

Greene’s family says Hill-Doxtador is expected to appear in court Tuesday.

Support for Greene has poured out from the community, with a GoFundMe page created to support her children soaring past its $5,000 fundraising goal with $17,700 raised thus far.

Police say they are continuing to investigate the incidents leading to Jocelyn’s death and ask anyone with information to contact Six Nations Police at 519-445-2811.
