Niagara Falls man charged after driving 117 km/hr in 40 km/hr zone

A 23-year-old man is facing charges after police caught him driving nearly three times the speed limit on the Niagara River Parkway.

Niagara Parks Police Service were on the parkway in Queen Victoria Park shortly after 7:30 a.m. Saturday when they noticed a southbound vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle was clocked going 117 km/hr in a posted 40 km/hr zone.

A Niagara Falls man was pulled over and arrested. He has been charged with impaired driving and stunt driving, among others.

The man’s vehicle was seized and his license was suspended for 90 days.
