Six dead following crash in Barrie, police say persons previously reported missing

Barrie police say six people were found dead in a vehicle collision in Barrie on Sunday morning and are believed to be the same people in their early 20’s who were reported missing just hours earlier.

Officers came across a single-vehicle collision in the Barriearea of McKay Road and Country Road 27 around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Police say all six people involved in the collision were found dead at the scene. They say four men and two women had all been reported missing Saturday night.

Investigation is ongoing.

On Saturday night, Barrie police identified the missing individuals as 22-year-old Curtis King, 23-year-old River Wells and 22-year old Jason O’Connor.

It said Luke West, 22, was also missing, along with two women: Jersey Mitchell and Haley Marin.
