SIU seeks video of incident in Hamilton involving Toronto cop

Ontario’s police watchdog is searching for video evidence of an incident near a Hamilton park that involved a Toronto police officer.

Hamilton police were called to a single-vehicle crash at Audubon St. and Ackland St. around 11 p.m. on Aug. 20.

The collision happened near the entrance of the parking lot at Felker’s Falls Conservation Area.

The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) says there was an interaction between the male driver and an off-duty Toronto police officer.

The driver was subsequently taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The SIU is urging anyone with video of the collision to upload the footage to its website.
